Very nice mid 20th century tubular steel chairs called Stak-a-Bye by the Englishman Harry Sebel in Australia after emmigrating their in 1951. This pair is in the more scarce burgundy red colour. They have gained a lovely worn patina over their years and have obviously been loved and used.
This Stak-a-Bye model of chair is in many design collections around the world including MAAS, National Powerhouse Museum in Australia.
A charming little mid 20th century leather wrapped elephant that was originally sold by Liberty of London and most likely manufactured by Omersa who made a lot of the leather animals for Liberty's. In generally good condition with only minor scuffs, the tail has had damage with leather shrinkage in the past but is solid. The tusks are resoin/plastic.

A beautiful example of an Uzbek Suzani rug/throw in very good condition, this one is approx 30 years old so although not antique it is vintage. There are a few marks from use but nothing major or that detracts from it. It is constructed of five long wollen panels stitched together before the embroidery is applied. It is on a green ground with vibrant embroidered silk colours. A great bed throw, wall hanging or sofa throw.
Suzani is a form of decorative hand-embroidered tribal textile panel made predominantly in Uzbekistan & Tajikistan. 'Suzani' is from the Persian 'Suzan' which means 'needle'. Suzani textiles were traditionally made by brides as part of their dowry, and were presented to the groom on the wedding day.
The majority of the Suzani that come to the market are for use as throws or wall hangings due to the embroidery being of silk and not really durable under foot. Silk embroidered Suzani are great examples of the folk art of an ancient tribal cultures that are kept alive to this day.
